About Mrs. Dykes
I am so excited to begin another school year in District 96! Blythe Park & Hollywood Schools have been a wonderful places to work, and I am looking forward to joining the teams and Ames and Central Schools! I have been a teacher for the past 17 years. Prior to working here I was in District 95 as a 5th grade teacher for 6 years and a gifted education teacher for 5 years. I received my bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Elmhurst College and my master’s degree in Gifted Education from Northeastern Illinois University. My husband is also in education, and we have three children, Jillian (8), James (6) and Evan (3). When I find myself with a bit of free time I enjoy reading, running, seeing movies, spending time with family and friends, traveling and baking. I look forward to working closely with the students, staff and families within all four of District 96's elementary schools to make this a successful year!
